| View this email in your browser WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2024  NEW PASTOR’S STUDY HOURPastor Steve is launching a new study hour that will occur each Monday beginning Monday, October 7, at 11:00 a.m. in the Blue Room. Topics will vary based on group interest but will have no homework or prep work. Any lesson in a series will always have a summary at the start of the hour so newcomers are always able to jump in at any time. The first series is titled “Revelation for the Rest of Us.”“Some churches and their pastors tend to get obsessed about The Book of Revelation,” notes Pastor Steve. “They talk about it constantly, often explaining how the daily news is clearly referenced in its verses. Some churches just want to avoid it, intimidated with its strange symbols and visions. But what about the rest of us? This book, properly studied, can help us in our life of faith.” Consider trying something new! No prior Bible knowledge is expected. The Sunday morning study that meets at 9:15 in the Blue Room will continue. There’s room for both!  H.O.P.E. MEETINGThe H.O.P.E. fellowship meets this Thursday, October 3, at 6:00 p.m. in the Blue Room at Grace. Rev. Dr. Alice Diebel will be joining us to bring news from the Montgomery County Jail Coalition, with an emphasis on the working group she leads about diversion efforts (diverting people from being jailed).Please attend if possible—your participation is valued! This will be the last in-person meeting of 2024. If you can’t attend in person, you can join via Zoom. HERE is the Zoom link.  HANDBELL CHOIRJoin in the fun! Handbells will be part of worship on Sunday, October 20. In preparation, rehearsals are being held TONIGHT, Wednesday, October 2, and October 9 and 16, all at 6:30 p.m. in Bishops’ Chapel.
