SUNDAY AT GRACE

It was the usual wonderful morning at Grace! During Sabbath Study, Amelia Boomershine led the class through some very enlightening, albeit painful, information about the Civil Rights movement and the people involved in it. During worship, Pastor Steve used his experiences as a gentleman farmer to explore the Key to the Kingdom, “Courage to Speak the Truth in Love”, based on Luke 13:31-34, which was told compellingly by Hope Grandy (pictured above). As a bonus, Beth and baby Eli Shellabarger were in attendance, and many volunteer grandmothers got to hold little Eli! Don’t believe Pastor Steve ever had chickens? BREAKFAST OR LUNCH?

Congratulations to Beth Shellabarger! She gave birth on Wednesday, February 26, to a baby boy! It is If you are a man, the answer is breakfast! Men will meet for breakfast tomorrow, Tuesday, March 18, at 8:30 a.m. at the Original Pancake House, 1516 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd.

Women, on the other hand, will meet for lunch on Thursday, March 20, at 11:00 a.m. PLEASE NOTE: A NEW PLACE HAS BEEN SELECTED! Come to George’s Family Restaurant, 5216 N. Dixie Dr., Dayton.

CANDIDATE FORUM AT GRACE

On Monday, March 24, at 6:00 p.m., the NAACP Dayton Branch will meet at Grace to host a forum for the candidates standing for election in the Spring primary on Tuesday, May 6.
