April is Second Chance Month—a nationally-recognized celebration of second chances, fresh starts, and breaking barriers for people who have been impacted by the legal system. Our worship this Sunday, April 27, at 10:30 a.m., recognizes that all men and women, including those with a criminal record, are made in the image of God and are more than the sum of their past failures.
We welcome back to our pulpit Willie L. Templeton, Jr., Chaplain and Program Director of the Montgomery County Jail. Heidi Arnold, professor and volunteer at Dayton Correctional Institution, will tell a resurrection story and introduce restored citizen Anna Litteral, who will bear witness to the risen Christ’s impact on her life during and after incarceration.
