BREAKTHROUGH PRAYER TRAINING

What does God want for the future of Grace Church? How can we discover what it is and how we can make it happen? Here is a proven strategy we can learn about as a congregation. A training session is scheduled on Saturday, May 18, from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. at Grace. Everyone is invited!

This training will help us understand how a simple, additive component of “breakthrough prayer” can be incorporated into what already happens in the daily and weekly prayer life of our congregation–plus how to create and introduce it. We will also be provided with many stories, practical examples, and ideas from other churches to show how this initiative has worked for them.

Please contact Roberta Longfellow at longfellowroberta@yahoo.com to join the group!

MVIC MEETING

The Miami Valley Immigration Coalition (MVIC) will meet on Sunday, May 19, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Osman Gazi Community Center, 1509 Valley St, Dayton. This meeting will provide an opportunity to talk together about current needs and goals.

These are questions to be considered:

  • What’s at stake for migrants in the upcoming USA election?
  • Which are our continuing local barriers to welcome and challenges for full inclusion?
  • How can we best continue to advocate for just and humane immigration policies?

You may have information, announcements, and other questions to bring to the table.

MVIC will bring information handouts related to the above questions and invite you to do the same. And they’ll provide the snacks and drinks!

Each of their partner organizations are asked to send a representative to participate in this wide-ranging conversation. Please RSVP here by Sunday, May 12. If you would like to offer informational flyers or share a spoken announcement or update, please note that when you RSVP.
