In case you missed it, Grace is requesting your input on its future. As you know, we are fast approaching a financial crisis in which we will no longer have the funds needed to maintain our magnificent facility, and decisions need to be made. GOOD TIMES AND GOOD FOOD!
The men will gather on Tuesday, June 17, at 8:30 a.m. at the Hasty Tasty Pancake House, 3509 Linden Avenue.
Not to be outdone, the women will meet for lunch on Thursday, June 19, at 11:00 a.m. at George’s Family Restaurant, 5216 N. Dixie Drive.
So come one, come all! The only agenda is fellowship over food!
NEIGHBORHOOD PRAYER WALKS
A few months ago the congregation adopted the Breakthrough Prayer, which has become an important part of our prayer life here at Grace. It is prayed individually and at meetings of all sizes, as well as in the worship service.
In addition to that prayer we are now starting a neighborhood prayer walk and drive ministry to reach out in love to our neighbors. The praying members walk along a street, one on each side, and take a short time in front of each house or apartment building to lift up a prayer for the family that lives there and then move on. Folks who drive do the same as they move slowly along a street which does not have fast traffic.
