SUNDAY AT GRACE

Hallelujah! Communion by intinction returned to Grace for the first time since the pandemic! The individual servings were also available to those who preferred that option. Barbara Blacklock told the scripture from Galatians via video, and what a pleasure it was to hear her beautiful voice once more! Pastor Steve’s message was “Which Harvest?”, and it was fully supported by wonderful music from Joe Severyn and Charis Weible. Another great day at Grace! COMMUNITY GEM

GRACE UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH

The Grace United Women in Faith will meet on Wednesday, July 9, at 1:00 p.m. in the Blue Room. The presenter will be Bushra Shahid with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. She is the co-chair of the Women’s Interfaith group in Dayton.

Bushra grew up in Pakistan, a predominantly Muslim country, and had little exposure to other religions. She wanted to reach out to other women to learn about their religions, and also teach them about her Islamic faith. She prayed about this idea so that she might meet someone who shared the same vision. We’ll learn more about Bushra, her personal journey, her faith, and how Women’s Interfaith originated.
