SUNDAY AT GRACE

“The Crime and The Coverup” was the theme of worship.  Based on the story of David’s seduction of Bathsheba and his murder of her husband, Uriah, we were encouraged to look honestly at our shortcomings and acknowledge them instead of hiding them.  If you would like to watch the service, click here for the Grace Church Dayton channel of YouTube.

Following worship there was an all-church meeting, where we learned about the Breakthrough Prayer Initiative, some possible developments in usage of our facility, including Clegg, the state of our finances, plans for the upcoming visit of Jemar Tisby, a Swahili-language worship service in Fellowship Hall, and more.  The future is exciting!  Stay tuned!

SCHOOL SUPPLIES COLLECTION

The Grace Youth Ministry is partnering with the Dayton Youth Initiative to collect school supplies for the KIND (Kids in New Directions) organization.  Items are needed by Sunday, August 11.  A list of needed supplies is above.  If you prefer to donate cash or donate by check, please note “School Supplies” in the memo line.  For more information contact Marcia Byrd at mbyrd@graceumc.com.  Thanks for your generosity!  

THIS WEEK AT GRACE

Choir rehearsal will be on Wednesday, July 31, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Blue Room.  This is in preparation for singing on August 4.  Don’t worry if you haven’t been able to come yet—there’s still time to join and sing with us on Sunday!  

On Thursday, there will be a HOPE Ministries meeting by Zoom in conjunction with the West Ohio Conference All In Community.  Guest speakers will be from Building Freedom Ohio.  Here is the Zoom link.
