SUNDAY AT GRACE

Join us at Grace this Sunday for study, fellowship, and worship! At 9:15 a.m., we will continue to study the history of ancient kingdoms of Africa in the Blue Room. At 10:00 a.m., we will share coffee and conversation. At 10:30 a.m., we will worship the Lord. Pastor Steve’s message will be “Ora et Labora” (pray and work), and our special music will be from Leah Estes and her harp. If you can’t join us in person, be with us here on the Grace Church Dayton channel of YouTube.

GRACE YOUTH GROUP NEWS

Recently, the current Grace Youth Group had their first overnight trip to Marblehead, Ohio. The trip was full of fun, laughs, fellowship, and adventure. During the trip they went to Cedar Point, where brave kids (and some adults) went on as many roller coasters as possible. They ended the night with a serious game of “Spoons”. Before heading home they went on a scavenger hunt through Lakeside to find historic sites that are part of the United Methodist church history. Kids and adults had a great time!

Don’t forget—Sunday, August 11, is the deadline for donating school supplies for the youth group’s collection! Supplies can be placed on the table in the hallway. Checks should have “school supplies” in the memo line. Thanks for your generosity!

GRACE UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH

An exciting UWF meeting at Grace will be on Wednesday, August 14, at 1:00 p.m. in Blue Room. Come to learn more about what took place at this year’s Mission u! There will be a panel comprised of Joyce Ard, Jennifer Davis, Hope Grandy, and Linda Bales Todd. This will be a “mini-training”, so don’t miss it!! There will also be a time for fellowship and refreshments!
