SUNDAY AT GRACE

Put on the full armor of God and worship with us on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.!  The message will be based on Ephesians 6:10-20.  You are also welcome to arrive earlier and join the study group at 9:15 a.m. in the Blue Room, when we will explore another ancient kingdom of Africa.  Coffee and fellowship will be in the Ladies’ Parlor at 10:00 a.m., as usual, too.  Why not make a full morning of it?  If you are not able to be present in person, please be present virtually by watching here on the Grace Church Dayton channel of YouTube.

FREE STREET TREES

The City of Dayton’s 2024 has a fall tree planting initiative to offer one or more street trees to city residents! Here’s how you can participate:

To qualify, trees must be planted in the public right-of-way with a minimum 3-foot width and be at least 10 feet away from underground and overhead utilities, as well as 25 feet from stop signs and intersections. Each location will be assessed by a City forester to ensure suitability before being added to the planting list.

CHOIR REHEARSAL!

Don’t forget to come to choir rehearsal this Wednesday, August 28, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Blue Room!  We’re preparing some wonderful anthems of praise and welcome for September 8, when Dr. Jemar Tisby will be preaching.  There’s a great core group, but more voices are always needed and welcome!
