Red Bird Mission

Join us the week of October 16, 2011 for a mission trip to Red Bird. See Carol York, Wilma Simms or Carol York for more information. Everyone is welcome!

We are still collecting Box Tops for Education and Campbell’s UPC codes for Education. These go to Red Bird Mission. With the Box Tops for Education, 10 cent coupons that were collected in 2005-2006 were used to replace all of the 20-year-old lockers in the high school and middle school -- red ones of course, and they really look nice. With the Campbell's UPC codes, Red Bird Mission can get mini-vans and Jeeps. It takes a one million, six hundred thousand UPC codes to get just one vehicle. That is 1,600,000! Keep saving them. Bring them in and either put them in the UMW closet in the main office or on the little food cupboard in the hallway by the gym.

We have 1,100 Campbell's UPC codes and 363 Box Tops for Education to be sent in now. Keep saving them ... every one counts!

Another way that you can help Red Bird Mission entails shop at Office Depot, who will donate 5% of your purchase to Red Bird. See Jane Gilbert to get an information card.

Yet another way to help is via Mycokerewards. To donate to Red Bird Mission via cokerewards, you must first go to www.mycokerewards.com and register, if you are not already a member. After that, try the following link

and, if this works as it should, you can sign in to your account and donate. Here are the details, and a "manual" way of getting your points to Red Bird:

1. Purchase your favorite Coke products to get codes.
2. Go to www.mycokerewards.com (register if you aren't already a member.)
3. Enter codes to collect points.
4. Go to the Red Bird Mission School page on MyCokeRewards.com, either by following the link RBMS on mycokerewards.com or by navigating through the mycokerewards.com site.
   • Click the "Six ways to spend your points" link and choose "Donate to Your School" on the following list
   • Type in our school’s zip code (40913)
5. When our school's page comes up, click "Enter the amount of points you'd like to give", enter an amount, then click "Donate"
