Sunday Morning for Children

Breakfast for children is served from 8:45 until 9:15 a.m. in the gymnasium. Along with a nourishing meal, during this time children can enjoy games, music, books, and creative activities. We call it “Freedom Land.”

Sunday school for children K-5 begins at 9:30 a.m. sharp in the patio and the parlor (the rooms directly beneath the sanctuary), which we call “The Catacombs.”.

Following Sunday school, children in kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to join our congregation in the regular 10:30 worship in the sanctuary. After the children’s moments portion of the worship service, these children will be ushered by adult leaders to the children’s church worship center (downstairs, directly beneath the sanctuary). There, the children are led in meaningful Christian activities such as the Storykeepers animated series with lessons, light crafts, and Bible-centered games. A light snack will also be served to the children.

For Junior and Senior High Age Youth

Sunday morning during the Sunday school hour (9:00 - 10:15 a.m.) is a time for sharing, caring, and daring to learn. All youth gather in the Young Adults Lounge at 9:00 a.m. to share joys and concerns, and to join in a brief devotion. Classes follow from 9:20 until 10:15.

We use the “Faithlinks” curriculum provided by Cokesbury as the basis for our discussions on how our United Methodist beliefs can be applied to current faith issues and world events.

On the 4th week of each month, we visit the Homebuilders class to hear David Williamson talk about “The History of Religion.” About once a month we have a group social of either a potluck dinner or restaurant meal followed by plays or musical programs.

All adults are welcome to join us. For more information, contact the church office.
